Funeral cars pass before patients at Warm Springs, Ga, most of whom are women in wheelchairs. Cut to rail road station at Warm Springs as funeral train pulls away from camera. Head-on shot, funeral train pulls into Union Station, Washington, D C. MLS, President's daughter, Anne and husband, and son, Elliot and wife, Faye Emerson at railroad station platform. MCU, Vice President Harry S Truman, Mr James Byrnes, and Mr Henry A Wallace. HSs, horse-drawn caisson with flag-draped casket moves from station. FS, VSs, mourners line streets through which caisson passes. Excellent views of people crying. HSs, troops and vehicles pass in parade; planes fly overhead. Casket is carried into White House, followed by immediate members of the family. Ints of East Room, bier is displayed near window. Chandeliers are lit, military guards stand alongside casket. Cut to gardens of family estate at Hyde Park, N.Y. Flag-draped casket is carried to grave. Mrs Roosevelt and family follows. Vice President Harry S Truman, Mrs Truman, and Gen Harry Vaughn, together with military and civilian dignitaries, stand at attention. MS, Vice President Truman, wife, and Gen Vaughn with heads bowed.
