Résumé VS, crowds listen as band plays national anthems. Crowd cheers wildly at announcement of victory. Allied flags are much in evidence. VS, Gen Charles de Gaulle, accompanied by civilian and military dignitaries, receives a tremendous ovation from the crowd as he salutes the Unknown Soldier's Monument at the Arch of Triumph. Crowd singing the French national anthem. In the streets by the Opera Madeleine, Concorde, Champs D'Elysee, crowds rejoicing. Cars and horse drawn carts loaded with people attempt to make their way along the avenues. VS, crowds holding flags, photographs of President Franklin D Roosevelt, and numerous signs. American soldiers are embraced by pretty French girls. Short scene, one soldier asking, "When do we go home"?
